When is the last day to submit an application? The last day to submit an application for the 2020-2021 academic year is February 12, 2021.
What are the enrollment priorities? The following information will be used to prioritize applicants at Caliber: Beta Academy during the Round One student assignment process. No particular type of applicant is guaranteed admission, and all applicants are prioritized in the following way:
1 - Students who have a sibling currently attending Caliber: Beta Academy 2 - Children of Caliber employees 3 - Children of founding family members of Caliber: Beta Academy 4 - Students who reside in the West Contra Costa Unified School District boundary 5 - All other applicants Caliber: Beta Academy makes every attempt to accommodate siblings who apply together in the same school year. A separate enrollment application must be submitted for each student. What happens after I apply? We have a student lottery on March 4th, 2021. The lottery is done at random; you do not have increased chances of admittance if you apply early or later.
How will I learn the results of the lottery? Families will receive either a text or email immediately following the lottery on March 5th with the results.
What happens if I'm not accepted from the lottery? Students who are not offered admission from the lottery will automatically be placed on a waitlist.
(Dis)Enrollment, Notices, Complaints and SB 75 SB 75 prohibits charters from discouraging any pupil from seeking to enroll, or encouraging existing pupil to dis-enroll for any reason including academic underperformance, EL status, socio economics, disability, foster status, homelessness, race or ethnicity, gender identity or sexual orientation. This applies even when a parent or student merely seeks information about the school (e.g., attends informational meeting or picks up enrollment materials), applies for enrollment, and when actually enrolled.
